Your first seven steps

1. Choose one customer and one problem

   Start with CTO / Senior Developer at startup. Write the problem in their words and choose a small result you could deliver.

2. Check demand before building

   Talk to three potential customers. Ask how they solve this today, what it costs them, and what would make a small paid trial useful. Record evidence, including reasons not to proceed.

3. Make one useful sample

   Try this first: Set up 5+ MCP servers on your own machine. Use fictional or permissioned inputs and check the output yourself.

4. Define a bounded first offer

   Write the deliverable, price, turnaround, revision limit, and exclusions. Use the free offer planner if you need help. Confirm the scope with a buyer before starting.

5. Reach a small group of relevant people

   Test one channel: Twitter/X or LinkedIn. Share your sample, explain who it helps, and invite a conversation. Follow community rules.

6. Deliver a small pilot and collect feedback

   Agree on the work, get permission for any customer data, review AI output, and deliver what you promised. Track time and expenses; ask what was useful and what was missing.

7. Review the evidence and choose the next step

   Compare replies, paid work, time, costs, and feedback. Continue, narrow the offer, or pause. Automate only a repeatable process you have already checked.
